Rigid Origami Toolbox

The Rigid Origami Toolbox is a suite of MATLAB functions written to assist with the design of rigid origami structures. The toolbox currently consists of four pattern families:

  • Miura and Miura-derivative geometries including the Miura, Arc (Yoshimura), Arc-Miura, Non-Developable Miura, Non-Flat Foldable Miura, and Tapered Miura patterns.
  • Curved-Crease (CC) Miura-derivative geometries
  • Folded Shell geometries for the addition of static folded faces to Miura and CC-Miura patterns.
  • Morphing Shell geometries for the addition of morphing folded faces to Miura patterns. Also included are various functions for pattern plotting, manipulation, calculations, and export.
